Softball 5/25/2021 VS Humboldt

The Southeast Valley softball team lost their season opener to the Humboldt Wildcats on Tuesday night (May 25). The Wildcats would score two in the first, one the second, two in the sixth and one in the seventh inning. Senior Chloe Hicks would start the game with a sneaky bunt paired with a steal in the bottom of the first, but  Southeast Valley would go quietly from there. The Jaguar bats couldn't wouldn't come to life until the bottom of the seventh inning sparked by a double off the bat of senior first baseman Olivia Tenuta followed by a pair of singles from Marlie Johnson and Kenna Scott, scoring Abby Slininger (running for Tenuta) from second for the only run the Jags would collect. Maddie Vansickle stepped up in the circle facing 21 batters and striking out four and allowing her defense to do the rest.

Southeast Valley lost the contest by a score of 7-1.
