Girls fall twice in week four

Gowrie, Iowa - Southeast Valley (4-2) South Central Calhoun (6-0) - After a solid first 3 quarters of basketball for the Jags, the team falls short from the defensive pressure from the Titans in the 4th quarter. Scorers for the Jaguars were Hicks - 9, Jaeschke 6, Hemmested 9, Welter 3, Scott 4. “SCC’s defensive pressure took its toll on us in the 4th quarter.”    Coach Mills

The JV also came from behind to beat the Titans.  They trailed by 12 in the 4th quarter and won by 3.  44-41.


Gowrie, Iowa - Southeast Valley (4-3) Manson-Northwest Webster (1-5) - After closing the gap to 2 points early in the 4th quarter the Jaguars fell short.  Scorers for the Jaguars were Hicks 11, Hemmested 10, Jaeschke 6, Ferrari 5, Bethal 2, Welter 2, and Scott 2. “Back to back games, injury and illness gave the team plenty of adversity to overcome.  We will have learned not to take things for granted and value each and every possession. Our team has continued to find team ownership towards our improvements.” Coach Mills

The JV lost to Manson-Northwest Webster 19-37.
