Lady Jaguars win Season Opener

Ogden - The lady Jaguars traveled to Ogden, Iowa for a JV/V double header against the Bulldogs.  The varsity team established a 14-3 lead in the first 6 minutes of play and never looked back.  

Leading scorers for the Jaguar were Emily Hemmested and Emily Jaeschke both with 15 points.  The team provided a balanced scoring attack with 7 players contributing points. Hicks with 7 points, Welter with 7 points, Carlson with 5 points, Ferrari had 4 points, Mills with 3 points.

Other notable stat lines were Hemmested with 7 rebounds and Welter with 5.  Jaeschke with 4 steals and Hemmested with 3.  

“The girls were excited to get the season started and it showed with the energy from the team in the first quarter.   It was truly a team effort from all 9 athletes. Everyone contributed through the whole 32 minutes of play“, Coach Mills.

The JV team started the season off on fire winning their opener against Ogden 45 - 10.  Athletes contributing to the team score were Bethel 7 points, Carlson 5, Erritt 2 Hansen 3, Millls 4, Welter 2, Dorsey 13, Lane 9.

Upcoming games are at home Monday, December 2nd against Madrid and Friday, December 6th against Westbend Mallard.
