6-19 GTRA 13-6 W (9-6) (6-3)

Print Version

A wet week saw the jaguars playing one game in the 3 game week. The game played was a conference game against the far traveling GTRA. The Titans came in with a few wins but we're scoring allot if runs in those games. The Jaguars sent out their senior Coledon Bethel to the mound. Coledon threw 3 and 1/3 innings giving up 6 runs on seven hits only two of which were earned. Freshmen Kolson Kruse came in after throwing 3 innings after reaching his pitch count. Again Kolson threw admirably not allowing a run while striking out two. Rhett Grandfield came in to relieve and gain the final two outs of the ball game with a 6 run lead against a good offensive team, Rhett quickly made no doubt striking out both batters ending the game at 13 to 6 win.

Offensively it was kind of a boring game as the Jaguars earned 15 walks from the Titan pitchers. Hitting wise the jaguars were led by senior Xavier Nichols who had a monster game going 3 for 4 with a double and two RBI's. Kolson Kruse, Jackson Housken, and Carson Lambert were the other Jags collecting a hit on the day. Carson and Kolson both scored runners on their hits while Jackson one upped them gaining two RBI's on his one hit.  The hot Jaguars enter next week with five games in five days, with a double header on Wednesday. Game one will be vs. South Central Calhoun (conference) followed by regularly scheduled Manson NW Webster. Senior night will be Thursday night followed by a conference makeup date on Friday to finish the busy week for the jags.

JV ACTION: NO JV due to lack of GTRA pitchers
