Jags Win at Home

 The Southeast Valley Girls Basketball team stunned Sioux Central Friday, Jaunary 12th, in Gowrie.  The ladies trailed at the half 20-23. Then the Jags brought the hustle the second half outscoring the Rebels 27-23. The Jags were up by ten with two minutes left in the fourth quarter, the Rebels hit some last minute shots, but the Jaguars held on to claim the team victory! 
  Mady Jaeschke powered the Jaguar offense with 13 points, including 3 of 3 from the free-throw line and ripping down 7 rebounds. Morgan Castenson produced 8 points for the Jags. Castenson secured 5 boards and dished out an impressive 5 assists. Cassi Berglund came up big for the Jaguars, scoring 6 points, which included the free-throw that secured the victory for the Jags. Berglund kept her composure and took care of the basketball at crucial moments in the game. Kenzie Cramptom went to work in the paint for the Jaguars, scoring 6 points, and fighting to grab 6 rebounds. Crampton also dished 2 assists. Kasey Lundberg was plagued with foul trouble early on, but hustled in 4 points, and secured 4 boards for the Jaguars. Jaynie Ferrari was aggressive inside, recording 4 points for the Jags. Cassidy Lambert helped secure the victory by scoring 4 points in the fourth quarter, and a hard fought 3 rebounds for the Jaguars. Delaney Conrad hit a bucket to finish the contest with 2 points. Shelby Cummins struggled form the field, but came up huge for the Jags on the defensive end of the court. Cummins hustled to grab 7 rebounds for the team, and dished out 4 assists to her fellow teammates. This was a hard fought team win for the Jaguars.
