Burnside--The Jags hosted the Titans and lost by the final of 42-20 inside the Burnside Gym. The Jaguars got off to a slow and trailed the Titans 10-3 after the first quarter. The Jags kept playing hard and clawed their way back into the game, but still trailed 18-9 heading into the halftime break. With their big guys playing in the middle of the lane with their 2-3 zone, we talked about quick ball movement and finding the soft spots in the zone. Defensively we needed to eliminate their second chance opportunities. The Jags continued to work hard and were trailing 31-18 heading into the final quarter. The Jags offense just couldn’t get the ball in the hoop, and lost 42-20 on their home court. We played hard, just could not get a shot to fall. That is something that we will work on in our coming practices this week. I can't fault their effort as they continue to play hard no matter the score on the scoreboard.
