The Southeast Valley 7th grade Boys Basketball team opened their season against a very physical and talented Madrid team at Madrid. The boy's dropped a 56-28 decision to the Tigers. The boys had plenty of open looks however the ball would not fall through the hoop. Conner Rentz led the way with 10 points with Landon Vote right behind with 9. The rest of the Jags fought hard all night with Caden Cramer crashing the boards well despite his night ending early from an elbow to the face. The Jags received outstanding hustle from the trio of Colby and Carver Peterson and Dawson Tuel. The Jags also received great efforts from the trio of Ben Wanat and Deagan Brandel and Jake Paterson. The game may not have turned out the way we wanted, however this is a great group of boys that will get better each game and have a very good season.
