The SV 7th grade Jaguars moved to 11-0 on the eason after defeating the Manson Northwest Webster Cougars on the road 28-19. A defensive showdown was on display between two solid basketball teams throughout the contest which created little margin for error. The Jaguars led after the first quarter 4-3 and were able to take a 14-10 lead into halftime. The game continued to be a physical and defensive battle in the second half; eventually the Jaguars were able to go on a run in the 3rd quarter and extend the lead to 10 at 22-12. The Jaguars were able to hold off a late run by the Cougars in the 4th quarter. Wyatt Muench led the way with (12) while Tristan Hanson (6), Reece Carlson (3), Nick Vogel (2), and Bennett Nolte (5) chipped in with each scoring at key moments during the game. Other contributors to the contest were Griffin Vote, Grant Ott, Brock Peterson, Bentley Jondle, Jace Skoglund, Corbin Eslick, Nolan Albright, and Turner Ahlers.

The SV 7th grade Jaguars notched a 65-24 victory over the Paton-Churdan Rockets on Tuesday, January 14th to remain undefeated on the season. The Jaguars were in a tight battle in the first and led by a score of 11-10. A 22-2 run in the second quarter propelled the Jaguars out to a strong lead going into the half and continued to build on their lead throughout the second half. Scoring efforts for the Jaguars saw ten players get in the scorebook and were led by a strong performance from Wyatt Muench (34), Reece Carlson (4), Tristan Hanson (8), Griffin Vote (2), Bennett Nolte (4), Nick Vogel (2), Brock Peterson (2), Grant Ott (2), Bentley Jondle (2), and Jace Skoglund (4). Corbin Eslick, Jaxson Johnson, Joseph Ennenga, Turner Ahlers, and Nolan Albright all saw action as well during the contest.
