Burnside--The Jaguars played a home game against the Raiders of East Sac County and won by the score of 45-25 the Jags earned a second straight victory. The Jags held a slim 9-6 lead after one quarter of action. The Jags extended the lead to five with a 18-13 advantage entering the halftime break. We talked about keeping the defensive pressure turned up and using that to create our offense. They played primarily a 2-3 zone so we didn’t want to let them get set up, we wanted to get up and down the court and play with a pace. The Jaguars were able to take control in the third quarter and pushed the lead up to thirteen with a 33-20 advantage heading into the final quarter. The Jags continued to make baskets and play solid defense to come away with a 45-25 win on their home court. I enjoy seeing the progress of this team and how they continue to make adjustments and put themselves in a position to be successful.
