Jags Football Wins Again

The Southeast Valley football team moves to 2-0 on the season with a huge win over Eagle Grove 59-6.

The weather was much much better than last week and the boys improved on a lot of the things they needed to work on.

Opening SV drive Cale Vansickle hit Logan Jaeschke for 2 straight passes of 14 and 1 and also Ross Larson for a 19 yarder. Then Brady Hanson ran it in from 8 yards out.

SV defense was ready to play only allowing 6 yards on the first 4 plays and got the ball right back to the offense.

Cale Vansickle had a quick 21 yard run and Brady Hanson had a couple nice runs but then we had a INT.

2 plays later Nathan Graves recovered a fumble and 1 play later Brady Hanson ran in a 12 yard TD and Brady Hanson ran in the 2 point conversion.

SV defense forces a 3 and out.

Very next play SV turns it over on a fumble

Eagle Grove picks up their 1st first down of the game early in the 2nd quarter but then throws a INT to Drew Temple.

The Jags had 8 straight runs with carries of 15 from Logan Jaeschke, Drew Temple 5 runs for 42 and Brady Hanson capped it off with a 7 yard TD and his 3rd of the game. Spencer Peterson kicked the PAT and this was the first good PAT in over 4 years.

SV's defense is still playing tough and forcing EG to punt.

Cale Vansickle had a 29 yard run and then Dalton Crouse hit Ross Larson for a 32 yard TD. Spencer Peterson kicked the PAT and the Jags were ahead 28-0

4 plays later Brady Hanson picked off EG and returned it for a 52 yard TD and this was his 4th TD of the game. Jags led 34-0 at half.

Jags get ball back early in the 3rd and Cale hit Jace Hanson for a 19 yard reception and also had a couple good runs. Then Brady Hanson scored from 5 yards out for his 5th TD of the game

Eagle Grove finally puts a drive together and scores on a 46 yard run.

The Jags wasted no time because the very next play Cale Vansickle hit Andrew Miller on a 76 yard TD and Spencer Peterson made the extra point.

SV defense stepped up again and the Jags offense got it back. Dalton Crouse had 5 runs in a row and then hit Jace Hanson for a 10 yard TD.

Brad Pliner recovers a fumble 2 plays later.

SV offense takes control again and Preston Kennedy had 4 runs for 25 yards and a TD and the Jags won 59-6

This was a great game for the line as they had a great night blocking and allowed the offense to have 439 yards. The defense played out standing only allowing 3 yards passing and 112 total yards.

The Jags will be playing Clarion next week.
