Jags back in the playoffs

The Southeast Valley football team traveled to Carroll to take on the 6th ranked Kuemper and gave them one of the hardest fought games they had had all year. The boys fought to the end but just could not match them throughout the whole game. Kuemper had not given us a first down in the first quarter and the Jags had 3 in the first quarter. The Jags did miss a couple opportunities to score and that would have been huge because Kuemper only gave up an average of less than 6 points a game for the season.

Once the horn sounded it looked like their season was over at 5-3 because Greene County was up 20 on Des Moines Christian. As the boys headed back to the locker room crying and thinking our season was over Des Moines Christian had a huge comeback to win and that made it where the Jags were back in the playoffs. I have never seen a group of boys more excited than this group because we all thought it was over.

To be back in the playoffs as a program is huge. The boys have worked hard and deserve the chance to move on. The boys will play Spirit Lake next Friday at 7:00 PM at Spirit Lake. Thank you to all the fans who came out in the rain to support the boys.
