JVR Girls Volleyball at Emmetsburg

The JVR girls played in their first quad on August 31st, opening with South Central Calhoun. The girls have been working hard and are beginning to show improvements already since the beginning of the season.

They were defeated in both matches against SCC, with scores of 21-25 and 18-25. The Jags were 78% at the service line, with Loren Songer serving 7 for 9, and Chloe Lambert serving 5 for 6, with one ace. Jillian Woodruff and Leilah Olson were 100% for serves. The team had a hard time receiving serves, but were able to set the ball up a few times. Autumn Jones-Popp had 8 assists, and Hayleah Hutchinson was 6 for 6 on attacks.

The next game against Emmetsburg started off strong, with a close match ending in a loss at 24-26. The second game ended in defeat with a score of 14-25. Miranda Lindner and Autumn Jones-Popp were 100% at the serving line, with Hayleah Hutchinson 5 for 5 on serve receive. Loren Songer was 100% on her attacks, with one kill. 

The Jaguars played three games against Pochahontas for the win, with scores of 26-24, 12-25, and 15-9. Autumn Jones-Popp ran with her serves to score, with 5 aces and 85% on the serving line. Ava Chase and Chloe Lambert were 100% on the serving line against PAC. Miranda Lindner and Lambert were 3 for 3 on attacks.
