JV Volleyball Goes 2-2-1 for the Week.

The junior varsity volleyball squad won two, lost two and tied this past week.

At the JV tournament Monday night at Lake City, the girls lost to South Central Calhoun by the scores of 7-21 and 17-21. Erica Burger, Abby Slininger, Meghan Willison, and Paige Weiland were perfect with serving. The girls then played East Sac County and lost by the scores of 15-21 and 9-21. Becca Davisson, Erica Burger, Abby Slininger, Meghan Willison, Autumn Jones-Popp, and Mila Johnson were perfect behind the serving line. The girls then split with Emmetsburg by the scores of 19-21 and 21-9. The team served 96% against the E-Hawks.  In the final match of the night, the girls defeated West Bend-Mallard by the scores of 21-7 and 21-10. 

The team traveled to Storm Lake on Tuesday and took on the Panthers of Storm Lake St. Mary’s. They defeated the Panthers by the scores of 25-18 and 25-20. Abby Halligan led the team with five kills for the night. She was followed by Autumn Jones-Popp and Ava Brunner with three kills each. The team served at 94% with the win.
