Print Version

In JVR’s first games of the season, they split with Gilbert going 1-1 on the day. Jesse Hansen and Colby Russell both pitched in the first game. Caden Larson scored a run in the first, but by then Gilbert had already scored three times in the top of the inning. The Jaguars went scoreless in the 2nd and 3rd innings while Gilbert scored seven. Gilbert then scored two more in the final inning. The Jaguars showed some fight in the last inning when Colby Russel and Colton Brant scored to make the final score 3-12.

The Jaguars turned it around the second game. Zack Miller started the game and Colton Brant pitched in relief. Caden Larson and Zack Miller both had two runs scored, while Zane Geis scored once. The Jaguars took a 2-0 lead in the first, but lost that lead in the last inning going down 2-4. Once again they didn’t give up and ended up scoring three runs in the bottom of the last inning to make their first win of the season an exciting walk off win.

The JVR team has games against Humboldt on Tuesday, and South Hamilton on Thursday in their second week of the season.
