JH Baseball vs SCC

The 7th grade baseball team lost their first game of the baseball season by the score of 10-6 on Wednesday, June 5th, as they welcomed the Titans of SCC.  Ross Larson started on the mound for the Jags and completed two full innings before Hane Sorenson came in for relief and threw one complete inning, only allowing 2 runs to plate.  Scoring for the Jaguars on the offensive end were Dalton Crouse, Hane Sorenson, Ross Larson, Carson Joyce, Ethan Peed, and Carter Ferry.  

The 8th grade baseball team won by the slimmest-of-margins over SCC in just 4 innings of play, with the score of 5-4.  The Jags jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the bottom of the 1st inning, led by Eli Johnson's base-hit to the left-side of the infield.  Scoring for the Jags were Eli Johnson, Carl Berglund, Caden Konecne, Xander Dorman, and Logan Songer.  Justin Loseke started on the mound for the Jaguars and pitched 2 solid innings of work, allowing only 1 hit, 2 base on balls, and 0 runs scored.  Loseke also struck-out 3 SCC batters.  Also pitching 2 full innings for the 8th grade team was Logan Songer.  Songer faced 11 batters in total, striking out 6, allowing 4 runs to score (3 Earned Runs, 1 Unearned), and 1 walked batter.  

Both the 7th grade and 8th grade baseball teams will host MNW on Friday, June 8th with the 7th grade game starting at approximately 10:00 AM.
