5/30 @ HUMBOLDT L 1-14 (2-2)

Print Version

It was a rough night for the Southeast Valley Jag Baseball team as they traveled to play an up and coming Humboldt Wildcat team.  The Wildcats are young but they are good and will be good in the foreseeable future.  Walks were the Achilles heel for the Jaguars allowing baserunners to get on base and with a good hitting team that spells troubles.  Jackson Housken, Sam Hanson and Xavier Nichols shared the duties pitching on the night and faced a tough challenge in the Wildcats.  The Jaguars actually were only one hit shy of the wildcats 5 hits as opposed to the 4 hits the Jags gathered in.  Hits on the night for the Jaguars included Seniors Colton Kamp, Jackson Housken, and Coledon Bethel who was the lone Jag player to cross the plate.  Junior Jacob Slininger was the other Jag collecting a hit on the night.  No rest for the weary as the Jags has a quick turnaround playing their first conference game against Manson NW Webster

JV: ACTION –   5-7 L (2-2)

As the JV goes the Varsity goes it seems like for the Jaguar JV baseball team.  Starting out with 2 runs in the first and 3 more runs in the second the Jags were connecting but never getting a big time hit which would have opened up the game.  Having bases loaded twice and never really gaining control of the game.  Pitchers for the Jags JV were Jacob Slininger and Zack Miller who gave up 7 runs to the young wildcats.  They did however whenever they got an out it was because of a strikeout in the final two innings.  Hits on the night for the Jaguars included Quinton Clancy, Hunter Sorenson, Chase Kamp, Memphis Simpson, and Lucas Jondle.  The hits were coming for the Jaguars but unfortunately the Wildcats had a bit too many and come out on top.
