District FFA Results

Belmond, IA ~ The Central Plains FFA Chapter attended and competed at this year’s North Central District Leadership Event held at Belmond-Klemme High School.  There were 34 FFA Chapter present.

The Parliamentary Procedure earned a silver rating.  Members of the team were Allison Bethel, Chloe Hicks, Chyann Hicks, Carson Lambert, and Blake Peterson. 

Eleven seniors passed the Iowa FFA Degree Review qualifications to receive their Iowa FFA Degree:  Those individuals were: Samantha Alphs, Ben Carlson, Morgan Castenson, Payton Erritt, Ryan Jondle, Cassidy Lambert, Joel Lambert, Landon Pontius, Alex Pudenz, Hanna Rees, and Chad Stewart.

Proficiency results were published and those marked with an asterisk (*) means they advanced to state. Ag. Mechanics – Ryan Jondle* - Gold; Ag. Services –Chad Stewart*-Silver; Beef Production Entrepreneurship-Maggie Anderlik-Silver; Beef Production Placement-Jaynie Ferrari-Silver; Diversified Ag. Production-Blake Peterson*-Silver; Diversified Horticulture-Morgan Castenson*-Gold; Diversified Livestock-Ben Carlson*-Gold; Diversified Crop Production-Breyton Cline*-Gold; Forage Production-Carson Lambert*-Gold; Equine Science-Payton Erritt-Silver; Home and Community Service-Allison Bethel*-Gold; Grain Production-Joel Lambert*-Gold; Sheep Production-Hannah Rees*-Gold; Vegetable Production-Chyann Hicks*-Silver; and Wildlife Management-Noah Jepsen*-Silver.

FFA Awards Banquet is Thursday, March 14th at 6:00 PM.  Deputy Iowa Agriculture Secretary Ms. Julie Kenney will be the guest speaker at this year’s banquet.  Lidderdale Catering will be providing the meal.

The 91st Annual State FFA Leadership Conference will be held April 14-16th at Iowa State University.
