Jaguars Finish Season

Print Version

On Saturday, February 9th, the Southeast Valley girl's basketball team traveled to Carroll for the first round of district play.  A bigger, stronger Carroll-Kuemper team was too much for Southeast Valley. The Jaguars were defeated by the Knights 24-71.

Kenzie Crampton led the Jaguars in their final offensive appearance with 9 points, including a three-pointer. Mady Jaeschke and little sis Emily Jaeschke hustled in 5 points for the Jaguars. Kasey Lundberg converted her throws from the charity stripe to end the game with 2 points. Cassi Berglund connected on a bucket to finish the contest with 2 points for the Jags. Morgan Castenson hit a free-throw to add 1 point for the Jaguars.

It has been an honor to coach these ladies this season. From all involved with this program we wish the seniors all the best in their future endeavors. Morgan Castenson, Kasey Lundberg, and Mady Jaeschke have displayed leadership, class and work ethic that will continue to influence their lives beyond high school. They truly deserve all the greatness they will achieve and positive influence they will have on our society. “I would like to thank all the parents/guardians involved with Southeast Valley girl's basketball. We couldn't do this without your support. These ladies truly deserve all the great things that their futures hold. From all of us at Jag Nation, Thank You, Good Luck and Have Fun! Enjoy every moment!” Coach Amber Sorenson.

The future of Jaguar Basketball is looking bright. There are many rising stars among our younger players that are just bursting to explode with shine. Now we start our off-season work to get better. There will be much to cheer for in the future.

“Thank you again, to everyone who gave us positive support, for the team and coaches, throughout our season. We could not do it without you. It is truly appreciated and means more than anyone will ever know. The difference your positive influence has on these ladies is one of the most impactful gifts they will ever receive.” Coach Amber Sorenson
