JV vs SCC on 1/31

The JV Boys experienced their first defeat of the season versus South Central Calhoun on January, 31st, losing by the final score of 47-56.  It was the most points the Jaguars allowed all season.  The Jags led 26-24 at the halftime break, but were out scored 32-21 in the second half resulting in the 9 points deficit at the conclusion of the contest.  For the game, the Jags shot 17-52 (roughly 33%) from the floor and went 9-30 from beyond the 3-pt arc.    

Leading the team in scoring was Robert Jepsen with his 16 points, 10 of which came in the first half.  Jepsen also collected 10 rebounds, earned 3 steals, and blocked 3 shot attempts from the Titan offense.  Sam Hanson scored 12 points and collected 5 rebounds on the defensive end of the floor.  Hunter Kruse chipped in with 11 points and 6 assists.  Lincoln Miller added 2 points and collected 10 rebounds off the glass.  Ross Halligan also added 2 points in the contest.  Hunter Sorenson rounded out the scoring efforts for the Jags with 1 point and 3 rebounds.  And Rhett Grandfield had 1 defensive rebound and 1 steal in the match-up.  The JV record now stands at 15-1 on the 2018-2019 basketball season.
