Jaguars VB Season Comes to an End

Jewell, IA ~ The Jaguars(18-9) came up short during regional play and lost to the Norsemen of Roland-Story (29-8) by the scores of 22-25, 16-25, and 25-27.  The girls played well at times but had some receiving/passing errors during parts of the match that lost points and allowed their opponent to take the lead.  The team also struggled with

The team served at 96.8% and averaged one ace serve per game.  Kasey Lundberg, Mady Jaeschke, and Shelby Cummins had one ace serve.  Perfect behind the serving line was Cassidy Lambert, Delaney Conrad, Mady Jaeschke, and Shelby Cummins.

Leading the team with kills was Mady Jaeschke with 13.  She was followed by Delaney Conrad with eight.  Others contributing kills were: Kiersten Fisher (four), Jaynie Ferrari (three), Kenzie Crampton (two), Morgan Castenson (two), Kasey Lundberg (2), Cassidy Lambert (one) and Shelby Cummins (one). 

Sophomore Kiersten Fisher had two solo blocks and one assist.  Conrad and Lundberg each had one assist.  The team averaged 16.3 saves/digs a game.  Leading the team with digs/saves were Castenson, Conrad, Cummins, Lambert, and Jaeschke.  To classify a dig/save, the ball is saved and must me set for an attack. 

The team finishes the season 18-9 overall and placed third in conference.
