The Jags defense was ready to play

Print Version

The Jaguar football looked like a team that was ready to battle the highly ranked and undefeated Titans.

The Jags defense was ready to play right away and forced a punt after the first three plays.

Jags pick up a quick first down but then 3 runs later were forced to punt.

SCC hits a 63 yard run for a TD.

Jags take some sacks and have to punt but get a quick fumble recovery.

Jags could not capitalize and were forced to punt again.

After another good defense stand the Jags got the ball back and hit Chase Swieter for a quick pass and got the drive started and Kyler Fisher ran in a 36 yard TD.  Score is now 7-6

It was a back and forth battle until 2 minutes left and SCC had a 3rd and 20 and ran a Jet sweep for a 25 yard TD and that broke the Jags back but were still only down 14-6 at half.

The second half there was not much to talk about.  Everything went downhill from there and it just keep snowballing and got worse and worse.  There is not much to say here except we had mistakes and they took advantage of everyone of them.

This is a half we must as players and coaches get over fast because we can't let this affect us moving forward.  The faster we can move on from this the better.

The Jags started off 2-0 and lost the last to to Ranked 4th Belmond and ranked 4th SCC.
