Jaguars Take Care of Titans

Graettinger, Iowa ~ The Southeast Valley Jaguars traveled to Graettinger on Tuesday, August 28th to take on the Titans of GTRA (Graettinger-Terrill-Ruthven-Ayrshire) in a conference match.  The girls came out strong and defeated the Titans by the scores of 25-13, 25-15, and 25-14.   In the serving area, Mady Jaeschke was perfect from the line with 14 serves and having two aces.  Also perfect with their serving were Cassidy Lambert, Kasey Lundberg, Kiersten Fisher, Lexi Corell, and Shelby Cummins.  Delaney Conrad had three ace serves and went 20 out of 21 with her serving.  Morgan Castenson had 21 assists.  For the offense, Mady Jaeschke led the team with 11 kills.  She was followed by Kiersten Fisher with five Delaney Conrad had four, Morgan Castenson and Kasey Lundberg each had two and Jaynie Ferrari had one.  Shelby Cummins led the team with nine saves followed by Kasey Lundberg having eight.  The team is now 6-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play.  They take on Newell-Fonda Thursday night at Newell.

Junior Varsity won their match by the scores of 21-18, 19-21, 15-12.  Perfect from the serving line was Emily Jaeschke.  Jordan Dorsey, had four ace serves during the match.  Emily Jaeschke led the team with kills having five.  Chloe Hicks followed having three kills.  The JVR lost a close match by the scores of 21-12, 16-21, 15-17.  Allison Bethel was perfect from the serving line with nine serves and one ace.  The JV team has a record of 5-2 and JVR is 2-2.
