6/25 Pocahontas 4-1 W

 Print Version

First game of the week began with Indians from Pocahontas traveling to take on the Jaguars.  Last time in conference the Indians 10 run ruled the Jaguars so they knew they were in for a fight.  The Jaguars were sparked by the pitching of Senior Jaxon Myers who threw a complete game throwing a 5 hitter allowing an earned run while striking out six batters only walking two throughout the seven innings.  The Indians are a very good hitting team so for Jaxon to throw like he did really was a stellar performance.

Giving Jaxon the run support he needed started with himself going 2 for 3, while driving in three of the four runs.  Jaxon just had massive game hitting and on the mound.  Fellow seniors Nolan Johnson and Tommy Lennon each earned a hit with Nolan’s being a huge double.  Nolan and 8th grader Kolson Kruse each scored two runs for the Jaguars.  Junior Mason Ackerson also chipped in one hit in the huge win for the Jaguars.

A great start to the week continued to see the Jaguars winning way continue.  Next up a huge conference game against a scrappy GTRA team.
