The 2018 Jaguar Baseball season started out with an away trip to Iowa Falls to take on the Cadets.  The Junior Jackson Housken took the mound for the Jaguars.  After some early control issues which lead to an early 2 run lead for the Cadets, Jackson settled in and pitched well the rest of the way until his pitch count came around.  Jackson finished pitching 3 1/3 innings then handed the ball over to fellow Junior Coledon Bethel.  Coledon went the rest of the way giving up on earned runs but walked two guys which the the Jags Achilles heel allowing those walks to come around and score.

Hitting for the Jaguars was spurred on by the lone hit which came off the bat of Junior Xavier Nichols.  The Iowa Falls pitcher did a excellent job of keeping the Jaguars away from ever getting anything going and the Jags lost their opening game with a final score of 3 to 6.
