SV Hosts East Sac for Senior Night

Southeast Valley hosted their last home game of the season, Friday, February 2nd against East Sac in Gowrie. Cold shooting plagued the Jaguars as they dropped the contest with the Raiders 29-63. At the end of the first quarter the Jags only trailed by one point, 11-12. Entering the locker room at half-time, the Jags trailed 17-34. The second half would not bring any offensive relief for the Jags, as they were only able to score 12 second half points.
Freshman, Emily Jaeschke led the Jaguars offense with a mighty 7 points. Jaeschke also secured 4 boards and recorded a steal. Mady Jaeschke aided her sister's fury with 6 points, 4 rebounds, and 3 steals. Kenzie Crampton powered up 5 points for the Jaguars and had 3 steals on the defensive end. Carson Shipley opened the game by swishing a three-pointer  Shipley also recorded a steal on defense for the Jags as well. Karissa Hiesterman pumped up the Jaguar defense with two steals of her own and three rebounds for the Jags. Ebony Scott couldn't get a basket to fall but grabbed 2 rebounds for the Jaguars. Delaney Conrad also connected on a three-pointer to finish with 3 points. Kasey Lundberg and Cassidy Lambert chipped in a bucket each, to finish with 2 points apiece.  Morgan Castenson sank a free-throw to finish the game with 1 point.
Between the girls and boys Varsity game, Southeast Valley recognized the seniors. Girls basketball would like to thank the four seniors of their program, Carson Shipley, Karissa Hiesterman, Ebony Scott, and Megan Seil. We thank them for their dedication and positive attitudes, and wish them all the best in their bright futures.
