7/10/17 Regional Final

The chance to go to state was at stake tonight as the Southeast Valley Jags headed to Humboldt to the #4 ranked Wildcats.  The score does not reflect the game at all, but the Jags lost 5-0.  The Jags went 3 up 3 down in the first and second inning.  Humboldt scored 2 runs in the bottom of the 2nd.  A close play at first that didn’t go to the Jags followed by a questionable play at the plate and an injury found the Jags down 2-0.  Top of the third Kenzie Crampton rips a shot over the fence only to be called out for not touching 3rd.  The Jags fighting the officials just could not rebound back.  Humboldt scored 2 more in the 4th and 1 in the 5th.  The Jags end their season at 25-9, second in the conference with a record of 9-1.  The girls remained undefeated at home 12-0, had 6 shut outs at home and outscored their opponents at home 91-10.  The team also broke 12 school records this season and at one point was rated #15. The girls accomplished so much this season and hopefully it will carry on.
