6/23/17-Last Conference game with a win

6/23/17   The Southeast Valley softball team finished out the last conference game with 12-2 win over South Central Calhoun.  The Jags jumped out quickly as they batted through the order and plated 6 runs.  Emily Jaeschke led the inning with a free trip to first after being hit by the pitch, she would then steal 2nd.  Shelby Cummins and Kasey Lundberg each reached on an error allowing Jaeschke to score.   Morgan Castenson would score Cummins on her fielder’s choice for the first out of the inning.  Jaiden Ackerson singled in Lundberg and advanced to 2nd on a fielding error.  Cassidy Lambert singled in Ackerson and again advanced on an SCC error.  Mady Jaeschke singled in Lambert and Sam Alphs would finish out the first inning scoring with her base hit to score Jaeschke.  The Jags were scoreless in the 2nd inning but managed 3 more runs in the third.  Ackerson singled and Lambert reached on another Titan error.  Kenzie Crampton then singled to load the bases.  A Mady Jaeschke walk would bring Ackerson home and an Alphs misplayed ball to center scored Lambert and Crampton.  The Jags were up 9-0 after the 3rd.  The Jags fumbled through the 4th and 5th inning, but SCC added a run in the 5th and 6th innings.  Ackerson’s solo shot over the fence in the 6th once again sparked the Jags as Lambert followed with a base hit.  Crampton drew a walk and M. Jaeschke reached on a fielder’s choice.  Alphs walked and E. Jaeschke reached on another fielder’s choice, Shelby Cummins ended the game with her 2 run single to put the Jags up by 10.  Jaiden Ackerson went 2-2 on the night and Crampton and Lambert each had 2 hits as well.  Crampton picked up the win tossing a 2 hitter and striking out 7.
