7/11 DISTRICTS 2nd ROUND vs. Carroll Keumper 0-11 L (13-15)

The Jaguars needed a perfect game to upset the last years state runner ups.  A very good team the Jaguars knew they were going to face but sadly the Jaguars didn’t play their best game and their up and down season ended.  Carroll Keumper played very well and with an early lead with their ace throwing it was hard for the Jaguars to gain any footing.  Jaxon Myers and Ryan Gustafson pitched or the Jaguars but miscues allowed Keumper ground and they took advantage of it.

The Jaguars had few games where they got beat by their opponents and most games came down to a few points or one play here or there.  The season could have been a lot better if the Jags were better in those one run ball games but it was not to be.  The Jags will lose their big senior class which was just freshmen when the Southeast Valley Baseball program came to be.  They have been the foundation of the baseball program and will be difficult to see them move on.  Seniors playing their last game include: Myles Davis, Dakota Jaeschke, Jacob Sorenson, Nolan Brand, Sam Berglund, Ryan Gustafson, Adam Dellachiesa, and Lee Fishbaugh.  These seniors will be missed playing their last game but they will move on knowing what an impact they made on this Jaguar program through the years.

A big thank you goes out to Dan Grandfield for announcing home games this season. A thank you to Heather Berglund for her work with the little jags and organizing concessions.  Also Blaine Bethel for helping with the new pitch count regulations new to the team this year.   He was a constant helper counting pitches for all the Jaguar games and helped out the coaches a ton!  Thank you to all the Jaguar fans that came out to support them throughout the season.  We hoped to win all of them for you but hopefully we made it an exciting year none the less.
