7/6 @ Madrid W 6-2 (12-14)

A hot summer night developed as the Jaguars traveled to Madrid to take on the Tigers.  The Jaguars didn’t take long before getting on the scoreboard.  Going up three runs in the first inning, with another run in the second, followed by one run in the 5th and 7th innings gave the Jaguars all the runs they would need.  Leading the bats were seniors Jacob Sorenson, Dakota Jaeschke and Myles Davis.  Myles and Jacob were both 2 for 4, while Dakota finished 2 for 3 on the night. Jacob and Myles both scored once while Dakota scored three times.  Myles two hits were both doubles which scored one run, while Dakota had two RBI’s and three stolen bases.  The two non-seniors doing damage at the plate were Nolan Johnson and Jackson Housken.  Nolan had two hits on the night while Jackson had one hit and scoring one run.

Pitching wise it was a trio of pitchers for the Jaguars.  Junior Jaxon Myers threw until his pitch count was up, being relieved by Sophomore Coledon Bethel and Senior Ryan Gustafson finished the rest of the way.  Jaxon gave up three hits, Ryan gave up two, while Coledon gave up two hits, two runs and two walks.  It was a great way for the Jaguars to end their season on a positive note.  Next is district play where loser is done and winner plays on.
