6/2 @ Manson NW Webster (Conference) L 8-9 (2-5 overall 0-2 conf)

Another one run loss for the Jaguar team and this game really described how this last well went with no luck going the Jaguars way.  Everything went the Cougars way with multiple hits going right at Cougar defenders turning into easy double plays.  Even at the end of the game with runners on second and third no outs the Cougars came up with an easy double play coming off the bat of Coledon Bethel with a shot at the third baseman that promptly touched third base for the easy double play.  If there was ever a game the Jaguars were simply not meant to win this would be it, with all the breaks going to the Cougars and none of them for the Jags.

Nolan Johnson and Dakota Jaeschke each recorded a hit for the Jaguars.  Jaxon Myers was the lone multiple hit Jaguar going 2 for 3 with one double, two RBI’s and scoring twice himself.  The Jaguars even recorded 11 walks but it wasn’t enough in the end.

Pitching wise the Jaguars sent out Senior Nolan Brand to the mound.  Sophomore Coledon Bethel came in late in the game to finish up but with tense pressure walked three in a row to allow the cougars to get the one run lead and the victory.  Nolan Brand pitched well allowing four hits but 4 runs and 6 walks.   It was a very tough one to lose for the Jaguars as it was a conference game and the luck seemed to go the other way in this game.  The whole week the Jaguars had been in every game coming up just short every time.  With all the wind out of their sails the Jaguars now go the Roland Story tournament to face two very good teams after a tough week of baseball.
